Kotonon is the heavily-edited and famous internet idol of class 2-He. Her name is derived from the voice actress Kotono Mitsuishi. She's recognized through her chubby appearance and her twin buns.

Marui Madoka
Madoka Marui is a student in class 2-He that isn't mentioned often. Her name means 'circular', which refers to her twin-buns. She's recognized by her twin-buns and her crush on Kino, which ends with her in despair over his fashion sense.

Manami Ookusa
Manami is the overworked, married student of class 2-He. Her name derives from the word 'okusama-nami', which means 'a married person'. She's recognized through her strange bangs, her multitude of jobs, and her determination to pay off her husband's debt.

Matoi Tsunetsuki
Matoi Tsunetsuki is the obsessive stalker (stalks Zetsubou sensei) of class 2-He. Her name is a pun on the phrase 'tsune tsukimatoi', which means 'always dangling after'. She's recognized by copying the fashion of her current love and by not ever being far from Zetsubou sensei.

Mayo Mitama

Nami Hito is the normal girl of class 2-He. Her name derives from the term 'hitonami', which means 'run-of-the-mill'. She's recognized by her spiky hair and her constant denial of being normal, since she takes offense to the word.

Nezu Miko
Nezu Miko is one of the two scammer girls in class 2-He. Her name is a pun on 'nezumi-kou', which means 'pyramid-scheme'. She's recognized from her tsurime eyes, overpriced items, and being with her fellow scammer Shouko Maruichi.

Maruuchi Shouko
Maruuchi Shouko is one of the two scammer girls in class 2-He. Her name is a pun of "maruichi-shouhou', which means multi-level marketing. She's recognized from her tareme eyes, extremely cheap prices, and being with her fellow scammer Nezu Miko.

Tarou "Maria" Sekiutsu
(Usually called) Maria Sekiutsu is a illegal immigrant that bought her identity from a previous student of class 2-He. The name Tarou Sekiutsu derives from 'seki-uttarou', which means "You sold your own register, didn't you?". She's recognized from her spiky hair, brown skin, and peoples parental instinct towards her.


The Itoshiki Family ✮⋆˙

Enishi Itoshiki
Enishi Itoshiki is a posthumous marriage counselor and the oldest brother out of 4 in the Itoshiki Family. His name means "disinherited", which is a joke to either him being only seen in the last volume of the manga or to him abandoning his son. He's recognizable through his bangs covering his right eye.

Kei Itoshiki
Kei Itoshiki is a surrealism artist and the second-oldest brother out of 4 in the Itoshiki Family. His name means "superb/beautiful view", even though most of his artworks are more strange than anything. He's recognizable through his long hair and slight stubble.

Mikoto Itoshiki
Mikoto Itoshiki is a doctor and the third-oldest brother out of 4 in the Itoshiki Family. His name means 'death', and can be read as Dr. Death. He's recognizable through his uncanny resemblance to Zetsubou sensei and his head-banging when his alternate name reading is said.

Rin Itoshiki
Rin Itoshiki is a doctor and the youngest and only daughter in the Itoshiki Family. Her name means 'peerless', which is slang for basically no bitches. She's recognizable through her long, wavy hair and by usually having her back turned to the camera, reference to her snobbiness. Later on, she joins class 2-He for fun.

Majiru Itoshiki
Majiru Itoshiki is the abandoned son of Enishi Itoshiki that is currently being taken care of by Zetsubou sensei and Kiri. His name means 'breach in relationship', referring to his and his dads relationship. He's recognizable through his child-like apperance.
